DILG Regional Office VIII joins the Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team of Region VIII during the final deliberation of the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Pro for Local Nutrition Focal Points held last 29 August 2023 at Ritz Tower Hotel, Tacloban City.       

 

                         

The MELLPI Pro is the monitoring and evaluation mechanism for the implementation of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition at the local level. This year, the RNET several LGUs in the region to evaluate their respective implementation and management of nutrition programs in 2022.

 

 

The deliberation was attended by the Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) and Regional Nutrition Shepherding Team members from various regional line agencies and was presided over by the National Nutrition Council VIII. 

Findings from the regional evaluation team and the local nutrition focal points – Provincial Nutrition Action Officer, City/Municipal Nutrition Action Officers, District Nutrition Program Coordinators, City Nutrition Program Coordinator and Barangay Nutrition Scholars, including the score computation and awards were discussed.

 

 

The deliberation meeting is an important process of the MELLPI Pro. During the meeting, final scores of the LGUs were presented by NNC 8. The RNET carefully discussed and reviewed the results to determine outstanding LGUs in the region to receive the Green Banner Seal of Compliance as well as the outstanding LNFPs. These awardees will have the chance to represent the region in the national evaluation.
