The Samar Provincial Government has turned over cheques and technology-augmented learning tools to its scholars at the Samar Island Institute of Medicine (SIIM) on February 17, at the SIIM Lecture Hall, SSU Main Campus, Catbalogan City.
Each of the 38 first-year SIIM students were given tablet computers, and twenty-two scholars of the Samar Makabagong Doktor (MD) Program received their cheques in support of their journey toward becoming future healthcare leaders in the province.
Dr. Jonathan Gabriel J. Paquit represented the Samar Provincial Governor, Hon. Sharee Ann T. Tan, during the turnover ceremony. Through such initiatives, SSU, together with its partner agencies like the Samar Provincial Government, will continuously seek to uplift the quality of medical education and healthcare services in the Samar province.
