The Regional Health Research and Development Consortium (RHRDCs) is the structure through which the DOST- Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) Institution Development Programs are implemented, and became the mechanism that encourage and promote health research activities in the regions. Like any other RHRDCs, the Eastern Visayas Health Research and Development Consortium (EVHRDC) is the implementing arm of PCHRD in the realization of health related activities in Eastern Visayas.

The Eastern Visayas Health Research and Development Consortium awards a financial assistance of Php 250,000.00 from DOST-PCHRD as partial release to the University of Eastern Philippines (UEP) for the project, "Clinico-Demographic Profile of Reported Child Injury Cases in Selected Rural Municipalities in Northern Samar" with Ms. Susan A. Chan of UEP-CN as Project Leader last December 5, 2017 at University of Eastern Philippines (UEP), Catarman, Northern Samar

EVHRDC Released a Research Fund to St. Scholastica's College Tacloban Inc. early this afternoon with Sr. Michaela M. Manalang, OSB (SSCT President) together with Mr. Clive Ivan S. Mercado, RMT (Lead Proponent), Kristine Lovele E. Navarrete, RMT, MATMRS (Co-Proponent), EVHRDC RMC Member Dr. Antonio E. Lim, Jr., RMT, PhD, FPASMAP (Co-Proponent) and Mr. Jeffrey P. Hinampas (EVHRDC Staff) at the SSCT President's Office.

Tacloban City, November 24, 2017 - Dr. Minerva P. Molon, Chair, EVHRDC Executive Committee, was the presiding officer of the 2017 General Assembly held at the Filipina Hall, NEDA Regional Office No. 8. She gave appreciation to the people behind EVHRDC for another year of success in the implementation of the activities of the Consortium.  Present were members of the Consortium, Consortium Director, Engr. Ernesto M. Granada and Dr. Sheila N. Tante, the Consortium Consultant for the finalization EVHRDC Manual of Operations.
