Virtual/Online – Samar State University faculty members and researchers participated in the HERDIN Orientation and Learning Session on 31 May 2023. The event, organized by the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD), aimed to introduce the HERDIN platform and its valuable features to research-generating institutions. The session focused on enabling participants to effectively manage, organize, and disseminate their research outputs.

The Balik Scientist Program of the Department of Science and Technology hosted by Dr. June Bryan de la Peña, aims to encourage Filipino scientists abroad to come back and strengthen the Science and technology capabilities of local researchers in different industries to serve as a catalyst in making an impact in the field of research or even in their chosen expertise.

The chairs and members of various working committees of the 16th Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) Week Celebration from the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) and Eastern Visayas Health Research and Development Consortium (EVHRDC), gathered at Summit Hotel in Tacloban City last April 28, to prepare for the upcoming PNHRS week celebration scheduled on August 8-11, 2023.

The Eastern Visayas Health Research and Development Consortium’s (EVHRDC) Capacity Building Committee (CBC) is in charge of further enhancing the capacity of its thirty-two member institutions in engaging with research-related activities. In the year 2022, the CBC, in coordination with the other EVHRDC committees, conducted training sessions offered to all member institutions and the members of the different committees.
