The Eastern Visayas Health Research and Development Consortium (EVHRDC), spearheaded by the chair of the Capacity Building Committee (CBC), Dr. Virgildo E. Sabalo, conducted a two-day Data Analytics and Statistics Training last July 18-19, 2022 via Zoom and Facebook live. A total of 150 researchers from various member institutions joined the activity.

To promote cooperation and integration of all health research efforts and stakeholders in the region, the Eastern Visayas Health Research and Development Consortium (EVHRDC) adopts the Philippine National Health Research System’s (PNHRS) Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) System. The PNHRS M&E System seeks to ensure that health researches carried out in the country contribute significantly to evidence-based policies and actions. An orientation on the said monitoring tool took place during the Special Executive Committee (ExeCom) Meeting on 02 June 2022 via zoom.

The EVHRDC Awards is presented annually to researchers in Region 8 to recognize significant contributions to knowledge related to health. The awards will have two (2) categories: the Distinguished Health Researcher Award and the Outstanding Novice Health Researcher Award. Up to three awards may be given annually to each of the categories. The selection committee may not confer any of the awards once no one meets the qualifications.
