Submission of entries is EXTENDED UNTIL November 5, 2021.

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) through Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) in cooperation with the Philippine National Health Research System Capacity Building Committee (PNHRS CBC) and University of the Philippines - College of Public Health will implement the one-year Fellowship in Epidemiology Program. The program is a crucial step to capacitate health researchers in this discipline in order for them to contribute in addressing gaps in public health.

The EVHRDC Awards is presented to researchers in Region 8 to recognize significant contributions to knowledge related to health. The awards will have two (2) categories: the Distinguished Health Researcher Award and the EVHRDC Outstanding Novice Researcher Award. Up to three awards may be given annually under the two award categories. The selection committee may not confer any of the awards once no one meets the qualifications.

Palo, Leyte – The Department of Education Regional Office VIII, led by its Regional Director Ma. Gemma Mercado Ledesma, started its vaccination roll out for its employees on August 2021. It can be noted that DepEd personnel has been included in the A4 category as approved by the President and the National IAFT.
